Q: When will the My Account Section of the site be available?

 

A: Our developers are currenty working on this area and should be up in the near future!

Q: What will I be able to do with the Repair 360 Account Manager?

Q: If you can't fix my console will you still charge me?

 

A: No, we have a "No Fix, No Fee!" policy so you have the peace of mind before you send your faulty console off to us.


Q: If my console is too costly to repair what are my options?

 

A: You have 3 options to consider here:

  • Refurbished Console offer.  With refurbished consoles, we promise that they will already have the necessary fixes and upgrades to greatly minimize the risk of the unit overheating.
  • Salvage Offer.  Depending on the condition of your console when you send it in we may offer to pay you so that we can retain the parts.
  • If you have no interest in either of the above we can dispose of the console for you.  In this case you will save on shipment back to you.


Q: Can I drop off and pick up the console if I am close to you?

 

A: Yes, we are more than happy for you to come in personally.  We will reduce your price to reflect this.

 

For customers interested in bringing the console themselves we are located in Bolton, Greater Manchester.  Not far from the motorway that goes around the whole of Manchester so we are easy to get to.

Q: Which Courier company do you use?

 

A: We use DHL.  Known to be VERY reliable.


Q: Where can your courier company deliver to?

 

A: DHL deliver to mainland UK and Northern Ireland.

 

We can also instruct them to deliver to an alternative address for you too, such as a friends or place of work.

Q: What happens if the problem happens again?

 

A: You should no longer have ANY issues with your console as we take great care in ensuring that any repairs or replacement parts are top quality and 100% working.

 

All repairs come with a 3 month parts and labour warranty.


Q: For my own peace of mind, can I extend the parts and labour warranty?

 

A: The 1st 3 months comes FREE of charge.  You can extend this if you wish to:

  • 6 months (£5)
  • 9 months (£10)
  • 12 months (£15)

Q: When you return my console is there any information that would help ensure that I have NO problems with my console again?

 

A: Part of the service here at Repair360 is to inform you and keep you updated with all relevant information.  We will send you information that will help you protect your repaired console.

Q: Will sending my console to you void my warranty with my console manufacturer?

 

A: If anybody opens the console it will void your warranty with your manufacturer.

 

Many users though HAVE sent their console to a 3rd party specialist because having it repaired by the manufacturer DOESN'T guarantee that it will function as intended.

 

The main difference is that we use PROVEN appropriate fixes.  The developer of the console always puts it the way it was when it left them.  So therefore, you are in the same situation: "Will this problem happen again?"

Q: Do you also provide a chipping service?

 

A: No, we only offer a flashing service for the following reasons:

  • Hard mods, such as Chipping, have proven to be VERY unreliable, easier to detect by console manufacturers and cost much more to replace or update.

  • Soft mods, such as firmware flashes, are much more reliable and a safer to re-flash later on.


Q: Do I need to send anything with my console?

 

A: No, please do not send anything.  Please keep all leads, controllers, etc.


Q: Can I play backed up games with a firmware flash?

 

A: Yes you can.  It is important to be aware, that this is intended to allow you to play backup's of your OWN previously purchased games only.


Q: How will getting a firmware flash affect my console warranty?

 

A: Opening the case of a console or changing the hardware or software in ANY way will void your warranty with your manufacturer.

Q: What is "Jailbraking"?

 

A: This is a procedure that will allow you to play 3rd party applications and games on your iPhone.

 

You will no longer be limited to whats at the Apple App Store.

 

Because it's a software mod, it can be restored back to it's normal state if you wanted to sell it at a future date.


Q: Can I still use the latest Apple firmware?

 

A: Yes, we always have access to the latest firmware that Apple release.  This ensure that you do not lose out on any NEW functionality or bug fixes that comes out with a new Apple release.

Q: Can I share files with my friends (referrals)?

 

A: Users who invite their friends can also request to be grouped together so they can access and share each others files.  This is NOT allowed by default and needs to be requested and confirmed by BOTH parties.

 

Please note, this is not the same as account sharing which can result in a ban.


Q: Can I use a client other than rTorrent?

 

A: uTorrent is also available if preferred.  It is worth noting though, that rTorrent has proved to be much more stable on servers.

 

Some users may also be used to using TorrentFlux, we do not offer this by default as many users (on other servers) report it to have speed and reliability issues due to it's poor use of memory.


Q: Is there a limit to the kinds of trackers that I can seed to?

 

A: Only private trackers should be used.  Seeding to public trackers WILL result in a ban without a refund so please don't try it.


Q: Does my torrent client come with multiple language support?

 

A: All our rTorrent clients come with multi language support.

Q: Which FileZilla application do I download?

 
A: For your home PC you need "Client" rather than "Server".  Client allows you to connect to the server.  Server is for users that want to share data from their own PC with other users.

Q: Is there a web based way to view my torrents in rTorrent?

 

A: Yes, you can view them with the wTorrent GUI.  Please click here for the tutorial.


Q: When trying to remove torrents from rTorrent I get this error: "Command type mis-match"

 

A: This happens when no torrents are currently selected.

 

Cursor up or down until you see 3 stars (*) to the left of the torrent that you want to remove.
