3 Red Lights | Three lights flash red on the Ring of Light (RoL) on the front of your Xbox 360 console. The upper-right quadrant light is the only light that does not flash red.
You see the indicator on the front panel of your Xbox 360 console repeatedly flashing on and off. The three flashing red lights usually indicate that there is a hardware problem in your Xbox 360 console. The usual reason for this is due to the design of the console. The cooling system just isn't good enough. Also due to the X-Clamp approach by Microsoft, the heatsinks in the Xbox 360 do not stay firm on the GPU and CPU. We replace the offending X-Clamp's with a more stable approach that ensures that the heatsinks remain in contact with both the GPU and CPU. Won't Play Games | You have an Xbox 360 that will not play games and comes up and says: "This is an Xbox 360 game disc, please put it in an Xbox 360 console." Sometimes it might load games but always stop part way through. You may also find that it will still play a DVD or Audio CD disc. Assuming that your game disc isn't scratched, it is most likely due to a faulty DVD ROM drive. Disc Reading Issues | You may have problems reading all types of media (Games, DVD, Music CD's). Also you may get disc "cannot be read" errors part way through a game or movie. Other DVD Drive Issues | "My DVD ROM makes all kinds of wierd noises when trying to read a disc" Cleaning your DVD ROM is not likely to fix this and so your drive will need to be repaired or replaced. Freezing Graphics | "After about 30 minutes of gameplay, the screen would freeze. No error message or lights appeared." No Picture or Sound | "My Xbox 360 seems to be playing up, when I turn it on all starts up fine, no red lights are even shown! But then the Xbox doesn't seem to be outputting any signal to my TV." Flashed Incorrectly | Your dashboard and XBL Arcade games work fine but your DVD-ROM will no longer play games after it has been flashed to allow you to play back-up's of your OWN games. If you have gotten your console flashed so that you can play your own backups and it wasn't done correctly then you will no longer be able to play games. Also, if you want to play the latest games you may need it upgrading to the LATEST iXtreme firmware. Also, if your drive was flashed with firmware that is not iXtreme then you have a much greater risk of having your console banned from Xbox Live. Don't risk getting this done by somebody who isn't a professional! Doing this without the appropriate firmware CAN AND WILL get you banned from Xbox Live. We will upgrade this for you and even give you a discount if you need it upgrading again in the future. Unknown or Other Problem | The Xbox 360 is merely a simplified version of a high end gaming PC. Whenever you play games with very high requirements it will get busy on the components inside, and guess what? Your Xbox 360 console can overheat and freeze.
